About the website : a work in progress

Invoke the light is developed by Bastien Sandoz sandbava@gmail.com.

It all comes from an idea I had in 2011 whose first prototype was this :

First prototype of Invoke the Light

The blue box was a map from Google Map API in an Adobe Flash animation. I now use OpenStreetMap with Javascript library Leaflet.js for displaying the map.

It was still very influenced by the Summit Lighthouse while the current site is more in tune with Kim Michaels dispensation.

Then in the beginning of the project in autumn 2024, the list of features that I intended to bring forth were :

  • provide one’s availability to recite invocations in a group;
  • prepare a spontaneous invocation session (for example, within the next fifteen minutes);
  • prepare an organized invocation session (at a given date);
  • visualize on a map the individuals and groups reciting invocations at a given time;
  • organize a continuous invocation session with participants from around the world taking turns;
  • organize a vigil (a succession of invocations at a certain frequency over a certain period) individually or collectively;
  • find prayer causes and corresponding invocations;
  • a tool to obtain a random invocation;
  • a tool to obtain a random quote with a teaching;
  • a tool to resolve time zone differences;
  • a tool to count the number of mantras recited.

I will try to deliver fast small improvements.
